Fun In The Bathroom

I don't know if it is just us, but it seems that we spend a lot of time in the BATHROOM.
We do LAUNDRY in the BATHROOM.
Hunter is my best washing machine loader. He loves to watch the clothes
be "eaten" and "squished" around in there.
What a THRILL!!!
Chance LOVES BATHS- whether there is water or not. If I haven't seen Chance for awhile, I know to check the tubs. It is very funny to watch him get in and out. He is quick!

And THIS is our very FAVORITE BATHROOM activity.

After we brush teeth the boys love to stand and have "drinks" from their toothbrushes.

Credit has to be given to CHANCE for this ritual. He started liking it when we were staying at the hotel.
I could get several things done while he had his "drinking time". I believe his record for standing at the drizzling sink is 15 minutes. It's GREAT!

It finally happened!

Superheroes of the World!!!!

Conquering eviiiiiil, and marching "onward every onward"

One sweet smile at a time

The boys finally wanted capes. I had been thinking I should make some for a while now, but haven't with the move and everything. So, one night after bath Hunter was drying himself off and got hold of two sides of the towel, and realized what he had made.

A CAPE

Finally, after holding the two sides and running around for some time he asked me if I could tie the towel together, but Mom had a better idea.

The Pampered Chef Chip Clips

They flew around saving the good guys till atleast 8:30 :)

Surprise

I got this off one of my friend's blogs and thought it sounded like fun. So here's how it works:The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch though...Post this same thing on your own blog and then come back and leave a comment telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift!

A Lovely Day to Remember

Our Valentines Day celebration began a little early this year. We had a primary activity day that Hunter and I needed to be at on Valentines morning. Because I knew Kelly wouldn't want to wake up early to eat breakfast together, we did Valentines breakfast for dinner the night before. It was lovely! Kelly brought home a beautiful bouqet of purple, pink, and white tulips (my favorite). I had the table decorated with Valentines placemats which Hunter thought were so cool, and then the boys each had red cups.

I am a waffle girl, so I made pink/red waffles and then used my favorite heart shaped cookie cutters to make them fun. I also sliced strawberries, I think they kind of look like hearts, and they added to the presentation.
We also had bacon (not pictured, due to lack of "Valentinedness" :))
The actual Valentines Day was especially fun. I got to have the morning with Hunter at his first primary activity day. Then we came home to a fun surprise! Kelly had set up a Valentines Day treasure hunt for the boys and I. Each clue had a fun memory or funny story of from our almost 7 years of marriage. I got lots of little gifts such as some new shower loofahs, a free pedicure from Kelly, some new pedicure scrub and pumice stone, chocolates, chapsticks, mascara, and the sweetest card with 3 pages of writing in it. I laughed and cried all the way through. Kelly is so thoughtful that way.
Next on our agenda was to go to the public library for a free concert. The 9th Army Brass Quintet played. Hunter LOVES the trumpet and trombone, so we figured it would be fun for all, and it was.
Now for the DATE, woo hoo!! I LOVE DATES!! We got a babysitter, went for a nice dinner where we held hands and took our time eating and talking, went to a movie, came home, took babysitter home, put on some Kenny G and ....
It is so nice to live in a town where we can have a babysitter and actually go do something fun.

Anyway, it was a lovely day to share our love. Hope yours was just as good.

A Little Love for Everyone

Here is a lovely plate of Valentine cookies for everyone to share....
go ahead, have one!
(Decorated by Hunter. He is especially proud of the one with all the conversation hearts "standing up".
We decided to have some friends from our ward come over and decorate cookies with us. We had fun and got MESSY!

Last year we started a Valentine's Day Tradition. We all get four hearts, one to represent each person in the family. I write on each heart, "I love (name) because..." and then at the bottom, "Love (name)" And on the heart for each person representing themselves it says, " I am loveable because..." It is fun to see what is written and what Hunter comes up with. Of course we "help" Chance with his. Each year I save the hearts and so this year we have double the hearts to hang up on our walls. I hope to continue this tradition in our family and watch how our love develops for one another. Here is what the wall looks like this year.

Chancey and his devotion to "Babies"!!

Sorry this post will not have any photos but I thought you all might enjoy hearing of my son's antics at the gymnastics gym playtime hour. So anyone that knows Chance also knows that he loves anything with a baby in it and he goes to an incredible length to make sure that everyone around him also is aware of the "Baby". This is all great.....most of the time. Today, however, was clearly not one of those days. So at the gym they were loaded to capacity. There were about 30 people (Moms, Dads, and kids) playing all over the gym equipment, pads, etc. One woman was of the school of breastfeeding that just likes to whip out the boob with only the kids mouth acting as a "pasty" if you will. No blanket, no towel, NOTHING. Most of the guys are now uncomfortably gravitating to the polar opposite of the room as their comfort level so dictated (myself included). Chance was having none of this. In fact, not only was he ramming the lady's knee with a procured tricyle but he was pointing and shrieking "BABY!! BABY!! BABY!!". From a distance, trying to give the woman as much privacy as I could and under the eyes of everyone in the place, I attempted to retrieve my son from about 10 feet away. No......not happening. My approach seemed only to motivate my son to a fever pitch of trying to alert me of the feeding "Baby!". Finally, when all other attempts had sailed into oblivion. I approached and reached down to grab Chance. Well, at this precise moment the "BABY!!", decided to detach and leave me with a face full of milk dripping nipple. NICE. I think I will let my wife do gym next time.

In case anyone was wondering this was posted by Kelly not Tammy

Cheers to Grandpa McGee

We have all been under the weather with the flu at our house. So, I stocked up on some Gatorade and Chicken Noodle Soup. (Our kids won't do Pedialyte). Kelly was especially sick one day and so we got some Blue Ice (or Frost, can't remember) Gatorade out and immediately Chancey wanted some. Not because he was necessarily thirsty, but because of its familiarity.
When we went home last summer to Idaho to visit family, we stayed with Kelly's family part of the time. Lemar, Kelly's Dad has cancer and drinks a lot of this blue Gatorade. One time Lemar let Chance taste his blue Gatorade, and I guess he liked it. He must have remembered that he liked it, and when we got ours out he HAD to have some.
Chance has a cute little bond with Kelly's dad, this drink, and he also loves it when Grandpa gives him a little pat and rub on the head when he passes by him. It is sweet! We know Chance loves Grandpa McGee.

We gave him several refills and he slurped it right up!

Cheers Grandpa McGee!!!!
