10 Months Old!!

We can't believe Natalie is 10 months already!  Where does the time go?  Natalie continues to be a delight in  our home, again, even when she was sick this month (double ear infection) we didn't have a clue that she was miserable.  Well, she was semi-miserable in the night with a fever, but still we didn't know why she had a fever and she was so sweet during the day.  Kelly teases that she has his temperament.
We took these pictures when it was nap time, so they were quick and this is what I got.  She really wanted to hold the camera and look at the pictures.
Natalie started out this month saying ba ba, but quickly it discovered how to say ma ma and those words  continue to be her favorites.  I have heard her say da da a few times also, but is more rare.  It is fun to hear her little voice singing and talking now.
 Natalie has 6 1/2 teeth
4 1/2 on top and 2 on bottom
(she's getting 1 of her canine teeth)
Natalie is so ticklish, it makes me laugh when I tickle her.  She is especially ticklish on her thighs and her hips.
She continues to be a GREAT eater and loves a little of everything you give her.  We did find one favorite though... HOT DOGS!!  I realize that feeding my daughter hot dogs (chopped up into  tiny pieces of course) is not going to win me any kind of  Mother of the Year Awards, but she can eat one whole hot dog in a sitting.  And then, she will sleep ALL NIGHT LONG!!
I won't make a habit of feeding her hot dogs, I just happened to have an unopened package of them in the freezer from this summer- so we gave them a whirl!
*Note* I don't like hot dogs- I eat them a couple of times a year usually.  But, when I was pregnant with her- I craved corn dogs like no ones business- maybe that is where she developed her taste for them**
Chance and Natalie continue to have a Love/Hate relationship- but she loves him in these pictures where he is feeding her some cheerios.
Natalie has discovered the lid drawer- and LOVES to get all the lids out.
She doesn't like to put them back in- surprise!  She likes to put the clear lids up to her face and she can see through them and the world looks red or blue.  She has also started liking to bang things together and make noises- she is so proud of herself.

Natalie got a treat for Superbowl Sunday- her first lollipop.  It was great!
Height 2 feet 4 1/2 inches (68%)
Weight 17 lbs 5 oz (14%)
*Apparently she lost weight while she was sick*

Nine Months Old

Nine Months already!  Boy is she sweet!  She woke up this morning and her diaper had leaked a little bit, so since I had to change her onesie anyhow, I decided I may as well put the "9 months" onesie on and take pictures first thing today.
Natalie is so much fun for everyone, the boys just can't seem to get enough of her.
She has 6 teeth with two more on their way, she usually gets up 1-2 times at night and goes right back to sleep.  She still loves food and eats quite a bit.  She really loves to use her little hands and feed herself.
She started officially crawling on Christmas Day which was pretty fun for us- quite the present!  So, now she is trucking all over the place- and we have to keep the floors spic and span or she will eat whatever she finds.

Natalie loves bathtime and especially loves to have the rag in her mouth at all times.  She also loves knocking any shampoo or soap bottle down into the water.  It is a chore just to keep bottles from hitting her on the head and then trying to put them back on the side of the tub.  You think I would learn by now that I should just move all the bottles.

Natalie lights up when Mom or Dad walk into the room.  Sometimes she pretends to be shy around Kelly, but it only lasts for a few minutes.
We still love her to pieces, and we are glad to have her as part of our fam.

A Few Christmas Pictures (after Christmas too)

We mostly took video of our Christmas this year, so this is all I have to share from my camera.
Sad!
Oh well we will just share a few highlights
Hunter got a microscope and some rockets
Chance got a Navy Seals Boat and a pirate ship
Natalie officially started crawling on Christmas Day
The boys got their new jammies from Grandma Lillian (moose themed)
and they thought they should do a few tricks in them.
I went to go purchase a cute Hallmark ornament for Natalie's first Christmas ornament only to find that the Hallmark store no longer exists.  So, I saw this cute ornament on pinterest, so this is what she ended up with...
 a cute little snow girl.
Also, just in the nick of time (Christmas Eve) I finished Natalie's stocking.  Although, I think I should change her smile to have red lips and I think I will have her hold a bell or something.  I will worry about that next year.  At least I got it done :)  It was a nice Christmas and so much fun to have kids that are so excited about  traditions and fun.

Eight Months Old

This little gal is 8 months old today!  She is still wonderful- even when she is sick, she is sweet and barely even makes a complaint.

Natalie almost has a total of 6 teeth- I'm sure the top middle teeth will be poking all the way through by the end of this week.  She loves it when people make her laugh, and she always responds to a good tickle.  She loves playing with balloons (with supervision), and she still LOVES her food.  Peek-a-boo is her favorite game still, and she is usually the one to initiate it.  Her specialty this month is ROLLING!!!!  And boy, she can roll far and fast.  Kelly said, "It's almost like she counts out how many revolutions it will take for her to reach her destination, and then she goes for it.
I thought she would be crawling by now, and she's close, but she mostly just likes to get on all fours and just rock back and forth.

A Visit To Santa and Gingerbread Houses

We got to go visit Santa this year in November.  We knew there wouldn't be too many kids waiting in line, so we took the opportunity to take Geek with us and go make our gift requests a little earlier this year.
Hunter asked for a Calvin and Hobbes Book
Chance gave Santa 5 letters in envelopes with pictures of elves and presents and reindeer, etc..
Santa LOVED the drawings!!!
Chance asked for a Trash Pack and a Navy Seals boat and a pirate ship
Natalie didn't ask for anything- and she's the first of our children to not cry on Santa's lap.
 The Three McGee's
I think Santa had a secret crush on Geek- and he wanted her to be in the picture-
she kindly obliged.
For Family Home Evening we made our gingerbread houses.  Hunter and Mom worked together and came up with a "cool" house.
It was complete with a sniper, a cannon, a firepit, and several "mines" for trespassers to step on

 Aren't we lovely?
(Boys were in jammies, and I don't have an excuse)
Chance and Dad also made a very manly type gingerbread house
They had ladders, and a skull snowman, and headstones
They also had a snake, and some shelters.
We had a great time- getting ready for Christmas is so much fun!

Thanksgiving and Time With "Geek"

Marianne braved a cold Thanksgiving visit to our home, which we were thankful for.  We had lots of fun and time to spend with her.  The boys took several opportunities to dress up in costume.
Hunter was impressed by Jimmy Fallons float in the Macy's Day Parade.  From that point on in the day, he wore sunglasses and was singing.."We Will Rock You!"
Natalie was our "Turkey Girl" and isn't she cute?
I am so Thankful for these three!
Before Marianne arrived I was concerned that Natalie might have some stranger anxiety- but they both just picked up where they left off- and they LOVED eachother!
Marianne even took a shift one night- snuggling this sweet little baby.  She even got her to sleep on her chest for several hours.
 Momma and her girl
Everyone felt the need to do a silly Thanksgiving dinner picture.
Hunter with a silly tongue and his drink
Chance and a spoon on his tongue
Geek showing how she really felt about her stay at our house
We also took the opportunity to have a marshmallow catapulting day...It was fun!
 The boys were very competitive
